Glenans Irish Sailing Club (GISC) is Irelands oldest and largest club focusing exclusively on sail training.
The club was founded in 1969, and derives its roots and philosophy from their founder club Les Glenans the world renowned French sail training association with whom they are affiliated.
As a volunteer non-profit making organisation, their aim is simple to teach sailing and to bring people of different cultures and backgrounds together through their love of sailing and the sea.
Offering an unparalled range of sailing from beginner to instructor level at their residential bases at Collanmore Island, County Mayo and Baltimore, West Cork you can discover a passion for a sport that was once thought beyond the range of most.
Catamarans, Windsurfing and Dinghy sailing courses are available at Collanmore Island while Baltimore offers training courses in larger keelboats and cruising yacht sailing.
Whether you picture yourself hopping from wave to wave on a windsurfing board or from port to port on a yacht GISC offers the perfect range of courses to make your dreams a reality.
